THE HOUSE

1798 : Haydn finished The Creation, Napoleon won the Battle of the Pyramids while Nelson won the Battle of the Nile, and the House of Jacquesson was founded.

The business flourished immediately because of the quality of the wines from this new House.

In particular, their champagne became a favourite of Napoleon who took it on his numerous campaigns as well as serving it at his wedding to the Archduchess Marie-Louise of Austria.

THE HOUSE STYLE

Elegance with complexity is the hallmark of the House. The distinguishing feature of our range of wines is an elegant clarity of bouquet and taste which is enhanced by a subtle complexity obtained from the blend of grapes and the use of wood.

WHAT THE CRITICS SAY ABOUT THE BRUT PERFECTION

" If you are looking for those rich, creamy Krug-like flavours at a fraction of the price, Jacquesson is the label to remember... The Jacquesson range is of stunning quality... "

WHAT THE CRITICS SAY ABOUT THE BRUT ROSÉ

" A bright, lively rosé that hits all the right notes with its fruity aromas, solid fruit flavours, crisp acidity and smooth texture. 86/100. "

Alles Über Wein, June 1995

" A wonderfully spicy, different style. Combines bold flavour with elegant texture. Unique appealing. 91/100 ".
